Commuters
We take public transport and pay no attention to what we are doing. People usually wait for a bus or a train, get on, sit down, and get off at the right stop. Every day, automatically. Although often very crowded, public transport develops solitude rather than proximity. Repeating the same actions every day leads people to overlook what is around them, eventually leaving them deeply isolated.
I took these pictures in the subway of San Francisco (BART). For once, I tried to look around me.
A special thanks to BART for allowing me to shoot these pictures on its premises.
